A Call for Support – help us inform disaster response and public health preparedness

We seek additional funding to enhance environmental exposure assessment, including:

  • Expanded indoor air and dust sampling and sample analysis to characterize exposure risks.
  • Advanced analysis of fire-related toxins in biological samples (Silcone wrist bands, hair).
  • Advanced exposure modeling to improve estimates of toxic WUI wildfire exposures.

This research will inform local and national policies on wildfire disaster response and public health preparedness while ensuring that communities affected by WUI fires receive the necessary information resources for optimal long-term recovery.
